  Character Web

The latin name for jaeger is Stercorarius parasiticus.

Jaegers like to live near the shore.

They eat mostly lemmings and voles.

The jaeger has narrow wings. The jaeger is in the bird family. Most of their body is black but near their head the color changes. Their head is usually yellow and has just a little black where the eyes and beak are. The jaeger is found near the shore and some times in the artic.

They have long black tails. The jaeger is usually sixteen inches long. Young jaegers look like first year herring gulls. It is very hard to tell the difference of one jaeger from another.
